    Technical questions

Which tungsten powder grade is right for my diamond segment?

The optimal grade depends on segment design and application. Fine F.S.S.S. grades (1.5–3 µm) provide higher density and better matrix retention; coarser grades (8–15 µm) give higher apparent density for packing. Share your segment composition and sintering conditions and our technical team will recommend a grade.

What mesh size of fused W₂C is used for core drill crowns?

Standard core drill crown brazing uses 30/40 or 40/60 ASTM mesh fused tungsten carbide. Finer 60/80 mesh is used for small-diameter bits. We supply ASTM/BSS mesh fractions to order.

Can you supply WC powder with a specific cobalt binder fraction?

We supply WC powder; cobalt powder is available separately. Pre-blended WC-Co is not standard but can be discussed for larger volumes. Share your Co% target and we will advise.

Do you supply samples before a full production order?

Yes, development samples with full certificate of analysis can be arranged. Contact us with your specification and intended application.
